Senior SAP General Accountant

• Ensure the complete maintenance of the general accounting for several companies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

Our client, a Swiss industrial company experiencing growth, is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance department. You will actively participate in the full accounting management of several group entities within a structured environment using SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the complete maintenance of the general accounting for several companies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Prepare and analyse account reconciliations.
• Carry out intercompany reconciliations.
• Control and prepare VAT declarations.
• Manage fixed assets and ensure their accounting follow-up.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of accounting data in SAP.
• Participate in external audits in collaboration with auditors.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in budget monitoring and certain financial analyses.

Candidate Profile

• Training in accounting, finance or equivalent.
• Proven experience in general accounting up to closing.
• Proficiency in SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
• Good knowledge of Swiss accounting and VAT.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with other team members.
• Person who is rigorous, organised and quality-oriented.
• Availability to start quickly is highly desired.
• Experience in an industrial environment is an advantage.
