Versatile Road Worker – Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver at 100%

Your main duties

The post holder performs a versatile role within the service. They primarily ensure the driving of heavy goods vehicles assigned to urban waste collection and also participate in various activities related to the maintenance of roads and public spaces.

Main activities

• Drive heavy goods vehicles and other specialised vehicles for waste collection, rounds and scheduled transports, as well as for winter service.
• Carry out necessary manoeuvres in sometimes narrow or heavily trafficked urban environments, ensuring professional, safe and careful use of the vehicles.
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the town, including manual sweeping, emptying waste bins, maintaining recycling points, street furniture and the port.
• Perform road maintenance work, including roadside mowing, weed removal, reception at the recycling centre, as well as various handling and transport of rental equipment.
• Maintain presence according to the established schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and participate in the weekly winter on-call service.

Your profile

• You have excellent physical condition.
• You have several years of experience in manual outdoor work and driving a waste collection vehicle.
• You hold a category B driving licence, ideally with trailer, and C.
• You are proficient in the French language.
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You have a sense of public service.
• Reside in Nyon or live within a distance compatible with the job requirements (15 minutes).
• Punctuality, rigour, team spirit.
• Respect for safety rules.
