The HR Consulting department is located within the School Leadership area of the Vice Presidency for Personnel Development and Leadership (VPPL) and combines the areas of HR Consulting for Departments and School Leadership Areas, Vocational Education, Case Management and Recruiting.

For our HR Consulting team for School Leadership and Central Organs, we are looking for an HR Business Partner for School Leadership Areas to start immediately or by arrangement.
Job Description
- As an HR Business Partner, you are the central contact person for two school leadership areas and various platforms – from strategic consulting to operational implementation
- You proactively support managers throughout the entire HR lifecycle: from personnel planning and recruitment of senior leadership positions through talent management and succession planning to employment conditions, remuneration and leadership development
- A focus of your work is the consistent and early addressing and accompanying of performance and behavioural issues. You operate within the framework of the employment conditions of ETH Zurich and the ETH Domain. This requires clear process management, a high duty of care and negotiation skills
- You enjoy developing effective, fair and sustainable solutions within this framework
- You are a trusted contact for employees on personal and labour law matters and are supported by central HR operations and specialist units (e.g. Case Management, Recruiting)
- In collaboration with the teams of the Personnel Development and Leadership as well as Diversity and Cooperation departments, you shape a consulting- and development-oriented support for your areas
- You shape a consistent and contemporary personnel policy, actively advance projects and work across departments to further develop and implement modern HR management
Profile
- You have a university degree or a solid basic education as well as completed further training in the HR field and want to bring your several years of experience in a comparable role and similarly complex organisation to us
- You have already been involved in a formative role in personnel strategic and policy projects
- You are enthusiastic about building and maintaining good relationships with supervisors, employees and interfaces and professionally developing HR topics across all levels
- You represent your position consistently, with perseverance and sensitivity
- You have a flair for conceptual as well as process-oriented tasks and a good sense of when persistence and when pragmatism is required
- You appreciate an environment that values fairness, co-determination and diligence
- With curiosity and commitment, you engage with digitalisation tools and AI applications and try out these tools to actively promote innovation and at the same time contribute to support in many areas
- You communicate confidently and fluently in German and English
