Full-time Restaurant Manager

Perched at 1600 metres, at the top of the Charmey cable cars, the Restaurant Le Vounetz has just been completely renovated: 340 seats, a terrace with a full panorama over Gruyère, and a new work facility designed for the comfort of the teams. Open 290 days a year, it lives to the rhythm of the mountain with varying types of service depending on attendance. After the departure of the operators who ran the restaurant for eight years, TéléCharmey SA is assembling a new management team (restaurant manager and head chef) to write the next chapter in the story of Le Vounetz.

Start date: ideally by the end of 2026, or to be agreed

Your Missions:

• You organise the service across the restaurant's four areas
• You supervise, plan and train the service staff, ensuring quality hospitality
• You manage orders, bar stock as well as the cash register
• You coordinate events and groups with the kitchen and the rest of the mountain

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in dining room/service management, ideally in a high-traffic environment (catering, tourism, events)
• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a restaurant specialist or equivalent training, with successful experience as head waiter/waitress or assistant manager
• Good interpersonal and hospitality skills, able to build trust with customers
• Holder of the Fribourg licence, an advantage
• Oral knowledge of German and English, an advantage

• Practical sense, organisation and rigour are second nature to you
• You handle large fluctuations in attendance without losing quality or your smile
• You ensure smooth and proactive communication between the dining room and kitchen so that service runs without a hitch
• You lead your team by example, on the ground, in contact with customers
• Snow and wind do not scare you; restarting after storms is a true collective adventure
