Urban Planner 100% Permanent Contract (M/F/D)

Responsibilities

• Manage subsidy applications and collaborate with the planner
• Design projects and measures to strengthen internal urbanisation
• Ensure optimal use of the territory by applying administrative tools
• Prepare opinions, decisions and correspondence necessary to successfully carry out tasks
• Define strategic development options and delimit urbanisation perimeters
• Actively participate in quality management, controlling and territorial monitoring processes to assess spatial impacts
• Guarantee balanced territorial development, compliant with standards and local interests

Profile

• University degree in architecture, geography or territorial development, specialising in urban planning
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in spatial planning and within a Swiss public administration
• Excellent command of French and good knowledge of German
• Strong skills in analysing and interpreting zoning plans
• In-depth knowledge of legal bases in spatial planning
• Good understanding of the institutional and territorial specificities of Valais
