Head of the Training, Youth and Family Department
Your mission
You ensure the strategic, organisational, administrative and financial management of the Training, Youth and Family department. You develop a coherent municipal policy in favour of children, youth and families and ensure the quality of services provided to the population.
Your main responsibilities
- Define and implement the department's strategy.
- Manage the care facilities and the library.
- Support the teams as well as the sector managers.
- Ensure human resources management, procedures and organisation.
- Foster a collaborative and constructive working climate.
- Maintain quality relationships with parents and authorities.
- Develop and oversee the budget and financial monitoring.
- Develop services related to early childhood, out-of-school care, youth, and the library.
- Coordinate municipal policies in favour of children, youth and families.
- Develop partnerships with authorities, associations and institutions.
- Supervise projects related to infrastructure, mobility, school transport and safety.
- Represent the Municipality with cantonal and regional partners.
Your profile
You demonstrate a strong sense of public service and strategic vision. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills are expressed through leadership that unites multidisciplinary teams and creates partnerships. You have solid project coordination skills developing the public policy defined by the municipal executive and real abilities to lead change. Solid management experience in the social sector is an asset.
Education and experience
- University or HES degree in social work, social sciences or equivalent training.
- Additional training in management, team leadership or organisational management.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams within a public or semi-public organisation.
- Strong skills in project management and budget management.
- Good knowledge of public policies for children, youth and families as well as the functioning of public authorities.
