The Psychosis Department S1 provides a treatment framework tailored to the needs of people suffering from a disorder within the schizophrenic spectrum. The length of stay in Department S1 can - depending on illness-related and psychosocial requirements - range from a few days for crisis intervention to several weeks. There are 16 regular beds and one emergency bed available. Components of inpatient interdisciplinary treatment include therapeutic medical rounds, key nurse discussions, social service counselling, as well as individual and group offerings. The care of acutely and chronically ill patients, needs-based milieu therapy, and cross-sectoral day clinic and outpatient follow-up care are focal points of the department.

Your Tasks
- Care and support of patients with psychosis according to department standards and within the nursing process using evidence-based instruments and methods
- Supportive collaboration with professionals in key nursing and the interdisciplinary team
- Assistance in crisis intervention in psychiatric and somatic emergencies
- Nursing documentation and co-responsibility for service recording
- Milieu therapeutic daily activities with mentally impaired people
- Administration, coordination and domestic tasks
- Shift work (24-hour operation) including weekend and public holiday duties, night shifts if possible
Your Competences
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence as a Health Specialist EFZ. For foreign diplomas, SRK registration is required. The costs for registration are covered by the UPK.
- High degree of independence and decision-making competence within the interdisciplinary team.
- Team spirit; social and communication skills.
- Motivation, flexibility and a resilient personality.
