System Engineer Storage & Backup (m/f/d)

Role:
As a System Engineer Storage & Backup, you elevate storage and backup environments to a new level. You analyse existing IT infrastructures and develop viable architecture and implementation concepts from them. You work closely with engineering and project management and accompany solutions from the initial idea to productive operation. Technologies such as Veeam, virtualisation, and modern storage systems shape your daily work.
Responsibilities:
You plan and design storage, backup, and recovery solutions based on Veeam and common storage systems.
You analyse existing infrastructures and derive appropriate solution concepts.
Furthermore, you develop IT architecture and implementation concepts including technical documentation.
You support the technical teams in ongoing projects and implementation.
Additionally, you provide technical advice to customers, for example in workshops or solution presentations.
You also keep up with trends in infrastructure, data protection, security, and modern workplace areas.
Qualifications:
You have completed training in the field of computer science.
You bring several years of experience in operating or designing IT infrastructures.
You have sound knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam as well as storage and virtualisation technologies.
You are familiar with Microsoft environments and network technology; know-how in IT security is an advantage.
Experience with archive and virtual tape library technologies (VTL) rounds off your profile.
Additionally, you work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, communicate confidently in German, and are comfortable with English technical documentation.
