Your Tasks and Perspectives

You will complete your training specialising in "Junior Chef de Rang", "Junior Barista Chef" or "Junior Sommelier"
You set tables and ensure a pleasant ambience
You advise our guests on the selection of food and drinks in the numerous restaurants
Welcoming guests as well as serving and assisting at banquets and events are also part of your daily work
You order goods, prepare invoices and participate in inventory management
You observe guests attentively and recognise their needs
You learn to prepare simple dishes

You have successfully completed compulsory schooling by the start of your apprenticeship and can communicate in English and French
You are in direct contact with our guests, so a well-groomed appearance, appropriate communication and good manners are a must
You have a feel for people and it is important to you to advise guests competently and friendly
You enjoy being on your feet and moving around, as you often work standing up
Hectic situations are no problem for you, as you are resilient and enjoy organising
Working evenings or weekends is not a problem for you

It is also possible to complete the training at EBA level
During your training, you may work in various restaurants at HOCH Health Eastern Switzerland (at the St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital site)
You work in a progressive environment and benefit from a well-trained, qualified and experienced team
You complete your training in a company where almost all apprentices successfully graduate
You receive financial support for the cost of your school materials
You may attend internal training courses and information events
