Head of Payroll
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the Payroll department in personnel and professional leadership (4 team leaders / 19 employees)
- Responsibility for payroll processing including financial accounting for Coop Cooperative as well as other mandate and subsidiary companies for approx. 47,000 employees
- Ensuring efficient data controlling including account reconciliation as well as coordinating and conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and handling complex special cases
- Participation in various projects to optimise and introduce new forward-looking processes and participation in working groups on company-specific topics
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements as well as smooth coordination and cooperation with internal and external parties
Requirements
- Committed, innovative and empathetic leadership personality with high social competence
- Business administration degree or comparable advanced training in payroll, social insurance or HR
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in payroll accounting
- Strong affinity for high-quality, goal-oriented and independent working methods
- Convincing oral and written communication in German; French and Italian are an advantage
