About the job
Behind every intervention by the Vaud firefighters, there is reliable equipment, meticulously designed gear, and flawless logistics. This is where our team at the technical and logistics centre in Romanel-sur-Lausanne comes in.
To strengthen our Fire Defence and Rescue Division, we are looking for our future:
Technical and Logistics Project Manager SDIS at 80-100%
Within a versatile and passionate team, you will oversee projects related to equipment, gear, and vehicles in the firefighter domain: analysing business needs and proposing suitable solutions.
What awaits you if you join us?
Your main role is to ensure the smooth running of projects while guaranteeing optimal management of data and IT tools:
- You coordinate actions between partners and stakeholders while respecting deadlines, budget, and quality requirements.
- You actively contribute to cross-functional projects.
- You ensure the monitoring, control, and preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, and provide ongoing training to SDIS logistics managers on new equipment.
- You collaborate with the various SDIS and propose improvements.
- You carry out statistical analyses on equipment flows and maintain dashboards.
- You assist the head of the SDIS Technical and Logistics unit and act as their deputy across all areas of activity.
Your profile:
If you hold a higher education qualification complemented by a specialisation in project management, you are our ideal candidate! As our establishment is active in protecting and securing the entire population of the Canton of Vaud, excellent written French skills are essential.
Your key strengths? Proven experience in project management, good knowledge of the firefighter environment as well as the Canton of Vaud and its institutions. Your interpersonal skills, logical mindset, and autonomy are also required to take on this role.
Experience in ERP operation, database management, and personnel management are assets, as is a keen interest in new technologies. You will be required to participate in on-call duties and occasionally work outside standard hours. You are also willing to obtain the C1 118 driving licence and the SUVA forklift certification if you do not already possess them.
