About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for around 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. In addition, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For the Internal Medicine Clinic, we are looking for a clinic manager starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, with a workload of 80%.

As a category A training clinic for General Internal Medicine, we combine broad clinical care with high professional specialisation and a dynamic interdisciplinary environment. Annually, we care for around 3,500 inpatients. In our interdisciplinary emergency centre, we also care for over 30,000 patients per year – versatile and with high medical quality.
Our range of services includes acute geriatrics, angiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, neurology, oncology and pneumology, whose outpatient clinics represent an important pillar of specialised medical care in the region.
Clinic Manager Internal Medicine
What Awaits You
- You support the clinic management in the operational and strategic control of the clinic and actively contribute to organisational and business management issues
- You analyse and optimise processes and interfaces and develop efficient and future-oriented solutions together with the involved teams
- You participate in budget, forecast, controlling and reporting and create sound decision-making bases with meaningful analyses
- You take responsibility for interdisciplinary projects as well as transformation and organisational development processes and accompany these from the idea to implementation
- You actively shape collaboration within the clinic and with central departments such as IT, HR and finance, ensure good information flow and support clinic management in the preparation and follow-up and coordination of important topics and meetings
What You Bring to Move Us Forward
- You have a university degree (FH/university) in health management, health economics, business administration or a comparable field
- You bring several years of professional experience in healthcare, preferably in an acute hospital, as well as experience in business management and organisational development
- You think strategically and analytically, handle key figures, budget and controlling instruments confidently and know how to derive concrete recommendations for action from them
- You have experience in project and change management
- You are strong in organisation, confident in communication and think in networks, managing to bring together different perspectives and interests and successfully drive change forward
- You convince with initiative, decisiveness and a hands-on mentality: you like to take responsibility, remain composed even in demanding situations and pragmatically and solution-orientedly bring topics to a conclusion
