Apprentice Documentary Information Officer (AID)

The Swiss Cinematheque, a private law foundation based in Lausanne, has the mission to:

? collect and preserve cinematographic archives, regardless of their origin

? ensure the growth, conservation, restoration and enhancement of its collections

? establish a national museum and a cinematography study centre

? serve the public interest The Access and Research department of the Swiss Cinematheque is looking for an apprentice for its Library and Research Centre sector:

Your tasks within the Library and Research Centre sector:
? Receive and catalogue documents
? Classify, equip and repackage documents
? Manage periodicals
? Conduct simple documentary research
? Process press reviews
? Participate in user services

Your profile:
? School leaving certificate
? Proficiency in spoken and written French
? Knowledge of German, English or Italian
? Good general knowledge
? Methodical mindset and organisational skills
? Curiosity and initiative
? Interest in and sensitivity to Swiss and international cinema
