Our client is a traditional, manufacturing Swiss SME in the consumer and specialised goods sector, based in the Toggenburg region. To strengthen the team and ensure smooth administrative processes, we are looking for a reliable and organised individual as
Clerk Finance & Personnel Administration (60% - 80%).
In this key role, you will work closely with management and act as the interface to an external fiduciary partner who supports you with financial statements and payroll accounting.
Your main tasks
Finance and Accounting
- Maintaining ongoing financial accounting and correct posting of all business transactions
- Managing accounts receivable including payment receipts, monitoring outstanding items and dunning
- Handling accounts payable (checking, coding, posting and preparing payment runs)
- Regular reconciliation of bank and balance sheet accounts as well as maintenance of fixed asset accounting
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as VAT returns for the fiduciary partner
- Preparation of documents for external audits and participation in budget and liquidity overviews
Personnel Administration
- Operational handling of entries, changes and exits including preparation of employment contracts
- Supervision and control of time recording, holiday, overtime and absence balances
- Processing of sickness and accident notifications as well as coordination with Suva and insurance companies
- Complete preparation of all payroll-relevant changes, expenses and absences for external payroll processing
- Contact person for employees on administrative personnel matters

Qualifications
What you bring with you
- Education: Commercial basic training (EFZ) and several years of practical experience in financial accounting
- Further training: Further education in accounting (e.g. accounting clerk) or in HR (e.g. HR assistant) is an advantage
- Expertise: Sound knowledge in accounts receivable/payable, account reconciliation, preparation of financial statements and Swiss VAT
- HR confidence: Experience in personnel administration as well as basic knowledge of Swiss payroll and social security system
- IT skills: Good Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SwissSalary is a great plus
- Personality: Independent, precise and discreet working style with enjoyment of varied tasks in a small team
