Within the Finance, Sustainability, Legal & Risk Department, the Accounts unit, attached to the Accounts and Financing Activity, is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting or financial rules, standards and laws. It contributes to creating value for the company by closing the accounts each month and producing consolidated financial statements according to IFRS standards.
Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva
Reporting to the "Closing and Subsidiaries Manager", the position combines autonomous management of subsidiary accounting and a corporate accountant role within a defined SIG scope, requiring strong analytical skills and excellent mastery of SAP. In this context, your role will consist of:
- Fully and autonomously managing the accounting of subsidiaries, in particular:
- Accounting and receipt/payment of customer/supplier invoices;
- Maintaining fixed asset accounting;
- Managing VAT and other tax declarations;
- Preparing and ensuring the reliability of annual consolidation packages;
- Performing closings and producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
- Preparing budgets;
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring statutory audits of subsidiaries in collaboration with external auditors (Code of Obligations).
- Being responsible for an accounting section within the SIG scope, namely:
- Calculating and posting monthly closing entries to ensure the existence, completeness and accuracy of accounting figures related to your accounting section(s) (stock and personnel expenses), in compliance with internal/external rules;
- Analysing and ensuring the reliability, throughout the period, of amounts and entries of flows generated by operational tools in order to request the necessary information to then post the required adjustments if necessary to ensure the existence, completeness and accuracy of accounting figures;
- Supporting business units to obtain the necessary information for a good understanding of the process and business data, which must be reflected in the accounting sections;
- Post-closing analyses to ensure the reliability of figures posted related to your accounting section(s) and explaining variances;
- Reconciling balance sheet and income statement items with sub-modules;
- Participating in the consolidation of accounts and the preparation of notes to the consolidated financial statements:
- Intervening in the group’s financial consolidation process, notably by posting consolidation entries;
- Preparing and drafting notes to the consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.

You have excellent accounting and analytical knowledge.
You are comfortable with MS Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint) and master SAP and the modules related to your accounting section(s) (ideally SAP-AA and SAP-CO).
Your background:
- Advanced diploma in accounting (specialist certificate in finance and accounting or equivalent);
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience;
- Mastery of standards (IFRS, CO) and accounting processes;
- Minimum 3 years of fiduciary experience required.
