Position summary

As a Global Category Development Senior Manager, you will establish Category Excellence in Consumer Care and support the markets to build the required capabilities to drive profitable growth and win in the marketplace.

A day in the life of a Global Category Development Senior Manager

  • Develop the Channel Category Growth Strategy based on shopper and customer insights, in collaboration with relevant markets and global stakeholders.
  • Define the Category Growth Drivers and Category Activation Platforms, along with the Picture Of Success and Perfect Store execution by Channel.
  • Influence the portfolio optimization by brand, in alignment with relevant markets and global stakeholders.
  • Integrate the Global Category Growth Drivers in collaboration with the SMI CC, Marketing Excellence and Global Brand teams.
  • Support focus market teams in executing the category strategy by leveraging insights on Shopper, Category and Channel by leveraging a customer centric approach.
  • Support focus markets with the go to customer strategy, with the goal of becoming category captains (where relevant).
  • Drive the necessary change within the Sales teams to execute the Category Strategy, including recruitment, training, and development of tools and SIP.
  • Optimize SRM levers to maximize brand opportunity and category growth within the portfolio, in collaboration with the GCE SRM Lead.
  • Communicate the learnings and successes of the Category Strategy regularly to the rest of the business, including Brand teams, SMI, Global Insights team, and Global Sales.
  • Build a community of Category Thought Leaders beyond the current Nestlé scope/organization.
  • Support the evolution of Category Leadership practices, processes, and tools, and identify next focus markets for deploying the Category Strategy.

What will make you successful

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the specific function, with at least 2 years in the defined role.
  • Experience in the category is a plus.
  • Cross-functional experience in CDT, marketing, and sales.
  • Confident and skilled in facilitating discussions and meetings.
  • Fluent in English.
