We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who will be responsible for part of the German-speaking region and will structure & lead a growing sales organization in Switzerland in collaboration with the leadership team
Our client, an international family-owned pharmaceutical company, specialized in Ophthalmology is expanding in Switzerland by developing his own affiliate. The company has a solid foundation in European countries and would like to accelerate its international development.
Description
As an experienced Sales Manager you will be responsible to structure & lead a growing sales organization in Switzerland in collaboration with the leadership team. The position reports to the International Director, member of the executive team.
- Define - together with the local management - the commercial strategy and implement it at a national level. Provide inputs to the leadership team to define the related commercial budget.
- Manage directly part of the Swiss territory as well as Swiss KOLs and key accounts.
- Recruit, train, and lead a first Medical Sales Representative, followed by building and structuring the broader team, in accordance with the commercial strategy and short / midterm commercial objectives.
- Drive revenue growth in the assigned territory through the development of a high-performing sales team.
- Develop relationships with key customers and KOLs across Switzerland, in collaboration with the Medical team.
- Represent the company at scientific congresses, industry events and professional networks to strengthen brand visibility, in collaboration with the Group Medical team.
- Lead new product launches and ensure commercial success across the portfolio.
- Monitor sales performance, market share, competitor activity and provide regular reporting and actionable insights.
- Manage reporting, market analysis, and establish core commercial processes for the new subsidiary.
- Provide sales inputs to the marketing team in order to adapt the commercial booklet
Profile
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with a background in sales/medical detailing in a specialized segment.
- (Swiss) German C2, English C1. French is a strong advantage
- Strong knowledge of the Swiss market, particularly the German-speaking region, with established KOL connections.
- Proven track record in building and managing sales teams and launching products.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high level of autonomy, results-driven, able and willing to build a structure from scratch.
- Experience in the ophthalmology field would be a big advantage.
