These types of exchanges help you understand the work of your colleagues. Numerous online training courses are also available. Many of the people I work with have worked in multiple departments and are therefore highly skilled at cross-departmental collaboration. Options for working remotely or across multiple locations are available, depending on the department. The 40-hour workweek is manageable, but keep in mind that you can only clock in once your workstation is set up.
What could be improved?
The hierarchical structure is very important. It takes time to fully understand who is responsible for what, and it takes a long time to get used to the many abbreviations. In a complex field like healthcare, some topics may not be easy to master; in my opinion, more pragmatic approaches would help simplify certain processes.
