Join the Quality Control (QC) team of a major biopharmaceutical player in Northern Vaud.

As a QC Technician in Microbiology, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of biological products (Drug Substance & Drug Product).

Beyond routine analyses (sterility tests under isolator, bioburden, LAL, environmental controls), you will be a technical pillar within the laboratory: you will participate in method validations, lead investigations, contribute to digitalisation projects and provide your expertise daily in a dynamic GMP environment.

Your main tasks

• Perform routine tests (Bioburden, LAL) for the release of production batches.

• Carry out sterility tests under isolator for aseptically filled products.

• Perform sampling and analyses for environmental and utilities monitoring (PV, PNV, TOC, Bioburden, LAL).

• Ensure critical review of raw data, calculations and reports in strict compliance with Data Integrity and GMP standards.

• Take charge of verification and validation of microbiological methods (Bioburden, LAL).

• Act as technical referent for the introduction of new products and method transfers.

• Actively participate in automation, digitalisation and laboratory efficiency optimisation projects.

• Write and investigate deviations and non-conformities using structured Root Cause Analysis tools.

• Define and deploy robust CAPAs in collaboration with Production, QA, Engineering and Validation teams.

• Write and update SOPs, work instructions and QC protocols.

• Participate in qualification, maintenance and management of new laboratory equipment and consumables.
   

  Your profile

• Education & Experience: Degree in microbiology (CFC or higher) with at least 5 years of experience in QC microbiology within a pharmaceutical or biotechnological GMP environment.

• Technical skills:

  • Proven mastery of sterility tests under isolator and aseptic handling.

  • Strong practical experience in Bioburden, LAL and environmental/utilities monitoring.

  • Confirmed experience in method validation/verification and deviation investigation.

• Soft Skills: Critical thinking, strong autonomy, rigour, proactivity and excellent team spirit.

• Languages: French (fluent/native) and English (good professional level).

• Position based in Northern Vaud. Flexibility required to occasionally work weekends or outside standard hours according to production needs.
