Microbiology QC Technician

On behalf of one of our clients, a recognised player in the Life Sciences field, we are looking for a Microbiology Quality Control Technician to strengthen their Quality team. (Position possible in Geneva and Vaud)

You will be responsible for ensuring the microbiological compliance of production environments, utilities, and manufactured products, in accordance with regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Your responsibilities

• Carry out microbiological and particulate controls of production environments in classified areas.

• Perform sampling and analysis of production water, steam, and equipment.

• Conduct microbiological analyses of products in process and at the end of manufacturing (Bioburden, endotoxins).

• Ensure monitoring of sterilisation biological indicators.

• Perform cleaning controls of production equipment.

• Manage samples and follow up on subcontracted analyses.

• Record, analyse and verify results in tracking tools and the LIMS.

• Identify and report non-conformities, and participate in their resolution.

• Contribute to the drafting and updating of laboratory procedures.

• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure compliance with GMP requirements.

Your profile

• Scientific or technical training in microbiology, biology, biotechnology or equivalent field.

• Minimum 4 years experience in microbiological quality control in an industrial pharmaceutical or medical device environment.

• Good knowledge of controlled production environments (ISO 5-7, Grades C and D).

• Proficiency in microbiological sampling techniques, environmental monitoring and laboratory analyses.

• Knowledge of GMP and documentary traceability requirements.

• Good command of French, written English.
