For its Transport & Infrastructure division, we are seeking a Head of Road and Rail Infrastructure Group.

This position is based in Lausanne. Location in one of our other Romandy offices is also possible (Geneva, Fribourg, Neuchâtel or Sion).
Job Description
Project Management
- Ensure full leadership of large-scale rail and/or road projects, from the tender phase to completion.
- Manage often multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Plan tasks and manage resources while ensuring compliance with client objectives, quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
- Be the main point of contact for clients and strategic partners.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary consortiums, particularly on strategic and financial aspects.
- Oversee financial management of projects: budget preparation and monitoring, cost control, and profitability.
- Guarantee quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of outputs.
Management and Business Development
- Supervise and provide technical support to teams responsible for infrastructure projects, with the support of experienced engineers.
- Interface with various WSP units to coordinate interfaces between infrastructure and road development projects.
- Manage the team responsible for infrastructure projects: planning, organisation, support, and development of staff.
- Actively contribute to business development through strategy definition, client relations, and preparation of service offers.
- Participate in the development strategy of rail and road activities within the company.
The role consists of approximately 75 to 80% project management activities and 20 to 25% team management and business development.
Profile Sought
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a University of Applied Sciences or ETH (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience of at least 15 years in managing complex rail and/or road projects.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Switzerland.
- Strong command of project financial management.
- Recognised leadership and ability to unite multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent knowledge of current Swiss standards and procedures, especially in the rail sector.
- Strategic mindset, rigour, interpersonal skills, and results orientation.
- Fluent in French; good knowledge of German and/or English is an asset.
