About the Position
Our client is a leading educational institution in Upper Valais, affiliated with the cantonal service for education and economy, providing a modern and reliable learning and working environment.
In this role, you will directly support the internal IT team in the first and second level helpdesk. You are the central point of contact for teaching staff and administrative personnel and ensure smooth IT operations in everyday school life with your solution-oriented approach.
Your Tasks
The role includes general IT support (Level 1 and 2), management of the hardware inventory, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical first-level support for software and network issues to teaching staff and administration.
- Handle IT faults in a structured manner and resolve them via the ticketing system.
- Prepare, install, and configure PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Support maintenance of server and network structures (WLAN, Active Directory).
- Document technical adjustments and maintain the IT inventory.
- Accompany IT apprentices during their induction and daily work.
Requirements
- Native German speaker (Valais German dialect advantageous)
- Completed training in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist EFZ) or equivalent qualification
- Good knowledge of Windows environments (Windows 10/11, M365)
- Basic knowledge in networking (WLAN, TCP/IP) and hardware cabling
- Category B driving licence for assignments at two locations
