Duration
One-year assistant contract
Main Mission(s)
• Provide advice and professional expertise (architecture) to architects or builders prior to a building permit application
• Provide analysis during the submission of an inquiry file to establish charges for the building permit
• Manage the monitoring of authorised projects from the granting of the building permit to the habitation or usage permit
• Represent the Municipality in case of infringements
• Handle third-party complaints (unannounced or non-compliant works, etc.) and order the cessation of works in case of infringement
• Participate in the development and revision of urban planning projects (Municipal Master Plan, specific zoning plans) according to the service’s needs
• Be proactive in proposing any measures likely to improve the efficiency and/or quality of services
Profile
• Master’s degree or diploma in architecture or engineering (EPFL, HES or equivalent training)
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in construction and site management
• Understanding and sensitivity to architectural aesthetics and interest in urban planning
• Knowledge of the Lausanne area is an asset
• Excellent listening, communication, and negotiation skills
• Good writing skills (reports)
• Cooperative spirit between entities, with a focus on efficiency and service
