Thanks to innovative technologies, the Water Service is tasked with supplying Lausanne and 20 municipalities in the Lausanne region with drinking water, as well as ensuring the evacuation of water from the city of Lausanne and the treatment of wastewater from its agglomeration. The service relies on the cross-functionality of the expertise and skills of its 200 collaborators to guarantee excellent water quality.
The Studies & Construction division, composed of about ten engineers and technicians, is responsible for maintenance and construction projects of the Service's facilities, such as plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations for drinking water and wastewater, as well as projects for the renaturation of Lausanne's watercourses.

Main Mission(s)
Ensure the role of project manager in civil and hydraulic engineering within the Civil Engineering and Watercourses Section for the construction or renovation of the Service's facilities (reservoirs, drinking water treatment plants, hydraulic structures, supply galleries and vaults)
Diagnose and analyse the needs for renovation and construction of facilities in collaboration with other divisions
Ensure the role of General Project Management and General Works Management and manage contractors and companies
Ensure the role of structural and hydraulic study engineer for the Service's various projects, from preliminary studies to implementation
Ensure compliance with legal obligations and integrate environmental concerns, food safety concepts, and occupational safety
Profile
EPF engineering degree in civil engineering or equivalent training
Postgraduate certification or proven experience in hydraulics
Postgraduate certification or proven experience in project management
10 years of experience in supervising major construction sites
5 years of experience in managing large construction projects, managing contractors and interdisciplinary and spatial coordination
5 years of experience in civil engineering structure calculations as well as in hydraulic structures
Proficiency in structural and hydraulic calculation software as well as engineering work software (Revit, Autocad, MSProject, Messerli)
Special Conditions
Driving licence (cat. B)
Clean criminal record
Aptitude to work outdoors, on construction sites, as well as in confined and specific environments (sewer network)
