As part of several recruitments in the railway sector, our client located in Villeneuve and globally recognised in the maintenance of railway vehicles is looking for a
Mechanical Assembler
Your responsibilities:
- Complete disassembly of the interior of wagons (seats, heaters, islands, folding seats, screens, etc.).
- Reassembly of new components according to plans.
- Reading and interpretation of plans, diagrams and parts lists.
- Commissioning and quality control.
Your ideal profile:
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma in polymechanics, electromechanics, general mechanics, precision mechanic, or equivalent (CAP, BEP, BacPro).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial mechanics, ideally in assembly.
- Strong proficiency in reading plans and parts lists.
- Very good command of French, German is a plus.
- Methodical, meticulous, thorough, autonomous, while appreciating teamwork.
- Motivated, energetic, flexible — ready to work in 2x8 shifts (morning/afternoon/night).
- Travel within Switzerland or abroad is to be expected.
