Sometimes you don’t look for a specialist for just one drawer. You look for a personality who knows several drawers, labels them neatly, opens them in time, closes them again and doesn’t lose track in the process.

For an established organisation in outpatient healthcare in the Basel region, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an HR & Finance Generalist. A person who understands HR, does not see payroll runs as a monthly trial of endurance, handles numbers with care and remains calm even when personnel administration, social insurances, accounting, payment transactions, official contacts and internal queries all land on the table at the same time.

In short: Yes, we are looking for quite a lot in one person. But don’t worry: You don’t have to lay eggs, give wool or produce milk. It is quite enough if you are professionally broad, personally clear, administratively strong and numerically confident.

What it’s about:

• In this role, you take on a central role in the administrative and organisational engine room of a meaningful organisation. Where people are out there working for other people, many things have to function precisely inside
• You take care of contracts, entries, exits, changes, certificates, payroll administration, social insurances, debtors, creditors, payment transactions, monthly and annual closing tasks, fiduciary coordination, insurances, authorities, external bodies and internal enquiries. Yes, all of this belongs to this field of tasks
• The position is not narrow. It is broad. And that is exactly what makes it so exciting. You are the contact person for employees, managers and external partners. You ensure that HR processes run smoothly, salaries are processed correctly, financial procedures are accurate and administrative matters do not remain somewhere between "should still be done" and "who actually does that?"

What makes this task special:

• This role is not for people who prefer to repeat just one task all day long. Here you need overview, responsibility, discretion and a good dose of pragmatism. You don’t have to have done everything exactly in this form before. But you absolutely have to be willing to recognise connections, set priorities and reliably complete things
• The organisation is large enough for the task to have professional substance, and manageable enough for your work to remain visible. No anonymous large corporation logic. No endless coordination loops. Instead, short paths, real responsibility and a working environment where administration is not a side issue but a prerequisite for the operation to function.

What you bring

• You have a commercial basic education and ideally further training in HR, finance and accounting or both areas. Decisive is solid professional experience in a comparable function
• You know that personnel administration, payroll, social insurances and accounting require accuracy. Not approximate. But clean, comprehensible and on time
• You work in a structured, independent and precise manner. You can handle confidential information, communicate clearly and remain calm when several topics demand attention at the same time. You are confident with MS Office and also bring experience with accounting software. Experience in healthcare is an advantage but not a requirement

A part-time solution from around 50% is possible as well as a high-percentage employment up to 100%. Overall, a larger position volume is available, so different models can be considered.
