You will assume the tasks and responsibilities delegated by him in terms of organisation, management, financial monitoring, training, control and intervention. You are the local contact for the SDIS with the primary objective of promoting the development of a regional dynamic within the framework defined by the ECA.
What awaits you if you join us?
You will no longer know routine as this is a demanding and exciting role; the meaning of your missions will be at the heart of your profession. You will constantly alternate between your presence in the field and your involvement in the administrative tasks of the position.
You will have to manage multiple projects whether technical, organisational or related to sector challenges such as the promotion and enhancement of volunteering. You will develop operational concepts, validate various intervention reports and be the frontline contact for the SDIS.
As a senior officer, you will continue to intervene in events requiring your presence and will have to make decisions in various complex situations while maintaining collaboration with the involved SDIS. This operational aspect involves on-call duties as well as sometimes irregular hours.
Finally, you will organise and/or lead cantonal training sessions intended for firefighters.
Your profile?

A firefighter officer for more than 5 years, you are also a firefighter instructor or willing to become one. You also have good IT skills as well as a good knowledge of the canton of Vaud and its institutions.
We expect you to have negotiation skills, a pragmatic solution-oriented mindset, and to demonstrate sociability and composure. Able to handle a significant workload and flexible in your schedule (including evenings and weekends), you possess a good level of stress resistance.
