For a large company in Zurich, we are looking for a

Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deputy responsible for the operational processing of the entire payroll accounting for around 45 group companies in the electrical sector (approx. 3,800 employees)
• Execution of monthly payroll runs (advance and final payments)
• Management of entries and exits as well as master data maintenance
• Administration of social insurances (AHV, BVG, child allowances, withholding tax, etc.) including processing of sickness and accident daily allowances, maternity insurances as well as EO settlements
• Preparation of withholding tax and social insurance declarations, salary certificates as well as annual closing work via ELM
• Competent contact person for professional questions regarding payroll and social insurance topics or issues for internal and external partners
• Support of accident and illness cases regarding ensuring correct billing and premium exemptions at the pension fund
• Administration of the company pension fund (entry/exit notifications and mutations)
• Contact person for BVG insured persons for all questions concerning the 2nd pillar
• Coordination of payroll accounting in close cooperation with financial accounting
• Assistance with HR budgeting and support during the annual audit
• Active participation in the development and further advancement of various internal HR projects (Abacus, time tracking, employee portal)

Requirements

• Completed commercial training as well as further training as an HR specialist or equivalent qualification
• Solid several years of professional experience in independent management of payroll accounting
• High IT and system affinity and very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• In-depth knowledge of Abacus payroll accounting
• Team player with precise working style and high service orientation, reliability and discretion
• Understanding of the connections between payroll and financial accounting
• High resilience, service-oriented, flexibility, motivation for further development and openness to new things
• Oral and written French skills are an advantage
