Job Definition and Mission
The HR Generalist provides daily operational HR support for all employees at the Montreux site, under the supervision of the HR Manager. He/she is the local point of contact for employees throughout the entire HR cycle: recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, personnel administration, employee relations management, and organisation of internal events. Their mission is to ensure the reliability and smoothness of HR processes, while contributing to engagement, training, and performance initiatives defined by the HR team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- HR Support & Partnership Support the HR Manager and management teams by providing daily HR support aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to the development of recruitment, retention, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Recruitment and Integration Support managers in conducting recruitment processes.
- Handle routine recruitment tasks: job posting, candidate pre-selection, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
- Ensure a successful onboarding experience, including preparation of the welcome kit and induction programmes.
- Manage administrative procedures related to employee onboarding and departures, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Personnel Administration and Compliance Maintain up-to-date personnel files (contracts, amendments, personal data) in compliance with Swiss labour law and GDPR.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies, particularly regarding documentation, safety, and legal requirements; escalate issues to the HR Manager if necessary.
- Support the HR Manager during audits and monitor regulatory changes.
- Contribute to the preparation of HR reports and analyses to support decision-making.
- Work closely with Payroll and Time Management Specialists to ensure accurate and timely payroll and attendance tracking.
- Employee Relations and Engagement Build strong relationships with employees as their first point of contact for any daily questions or concerns.
- Promote an open and inclusive corporate culture aligned with company values.
- Participate in implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and well-being.
- Organise and coordinate internal events, including team-building activities, themed days, and celebrations.
- Performance Management and Skills Development Contribute to monitoring career development plans for high-potential employees.
- Support the deployment of appropriate training programmes, in coordination with the HR Manager and the CLP Academy.
- Manage all administrative aspects related to training.
- HR Operational Excellence Ensure HR processes are efficient and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Keep HR systems up to date, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Compile HR indicators and provide actionable analyses to the HR Manager.

EDUCATION
- Federal VET Diploma or equivalent commercial training; Federal HR Specialist Certificate or in progress highly appreciated
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in hospitality, luxury, health/wellness, or a similar service environment
SKILLS
- Experience in personnel administration: mastery of processes related to the entire employee lifecycle (contracts, amendments, personnel file management, absence and leave tracking), with good knowledge of Swiss labour law and rigour in documentary and legal compliance (GDPR/LPD).
- Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ideally an HRIS.
- Proactive and curious: anticipates team needs rather than waiting for requests, proposes improvements, and seeks to understand the functioning of different departments to better support them.
- An interest in recruitment: comfortable evaluating candidates, enjoys human contact, and is interested in sourcing and interview techniques to actively contribute to the establishment’s recruitment.
- Fluent in French and English
- Sense of confidentiality, administrative rigour, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team under the supervision of the HR Manager.
