For one of our clients based in the Bulle region, an internationally recognised industrial player in the development and manufacture of advanced mechanical and technological systems, we are looking for a:
Product Safety Specialist (M/F)
You will play a central role in product safety by supporting technical teams in identifying, assessing and controlling risks. Thanks to your overall technical vision, you will work on issues related to mechanics, electrical and software.
Responsibilities
- Apply and promote risk analysis processes in accordance with the EN ISO 12100 standard and ensure their consistent application
- Coordinate the execution of product risk analyses in collaboration with the Engineering teams and the various departments involved
- Ensure the consideration and application of requirements, directives and standards related to product safety
- Identify and assess potential risks related to the various technical aspects of products: mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, etc.
- Support technical teams in researching and implementing solutions to control identified risks
- Actively participate in technical discussions and constructively challenge existing solutions from a product safety perspective
- Provide your expertise on specific projects and support exchanges with clients and external partners on safety and risk analysis issues
- Ensure the follow-up and documentation of risk analyses throughout the different phases of projects
Profile
- Completed technical training, at CFC, ES Technician, HES Engineer level or equivalent training
- Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the field of machinery, industrial equipment or heavy vehicles
- Practical experience in product safety and risk analysis
- Good command of the EN ISO 12100 standard
- Good knowledge of international requirements and standards related to product safety
- Excellent general technical understanding: reading plans, mechanical design, hardware/software and industrial technologies
- Basic knowledge in the field of combustion engines is an advantage
- Ability to understand multidisciplinary technical issues and translate them into concrete solutions
- Curious, proactive personality eager to broaden knowledge beyond initial area of expertise
- Ability to confidently defend a technical point of view while remaining constructive and solution-oriented
- Autonomous, organised and goal-oriented
- Excellent team spirit and ability to seek common solutions while ensuring compliance with defined safety objectives
