About the job
As part of strengthening our team, we are looking for an Accountant wishing to join an international, multicultural and human-sized working environment.
Beyond mastering the accounting fundamentals, we seek a person who values the diversity of responsibilities, the quality of interactions and the sense of service.
Accountant - 100%
Your responsibilities:
Integrated into an accounting team of several people, you will work on a varied scope covering subsidiary accounting, treasury as well as part of general accounting.
You will notably be responsible for:
- accounts payable: invoice entry, preparation and posting of payments, follow-up on reminders;
- accounts receivable: preparation and issuance of invoicing, monitoring of receipts, debt collection and management of any disputes;
- treasury: recording banking transactions, cash management and bank reconciliations;
- monitoring and posting of staff expenses, notably credit cards and expense claims;
- participation in account audits as well as various administrative activities of the department.
An important aspect of the role also lies in the relationship with our various contacts. You will regularly be called upon to respond to requests, explain situations or assist your contacts with clarity, diplomacy and a sense of service.
Your profile:
You have a qualification in accounting (CFC commercial employee with a specialisation in accounting, accounting diploma/certificate or equivalent training), complemented by successful initial experience (2 to 5 years) in a similar role.
Comfortable with common IT tools, you master Excel, notably pivot tables and lookup functions. Knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.
You are able to communicate fluently, both written and spoken, in French and English.
But beyond technical skills, we pay particular attention to personality.
We are looking for a precise and organised person, naturally attentive to the quality of their work, but also capable of interacting with a variety of contacts. You know how to anticipate, circulate information and work cross-functionally with different departments.
Your interpersonal skills, discernment and discretion will be particularly appreciated.
What we offer you
You will join an international and multicultural working environment, within a human-sized team.
We offer you a varied role, providing a balance between accounting technicality, autonomy and human relations, where the quality of the work done counts as much as the way of collaborating.
Contract: Permanent
Activity rate: 100%
Location: Geneva
Start date: to be agreed
