About the job
The Lausanne Office for Immigrants - BLI (www.lausanne.ch/bli) is the City’s centre of expertise in the fields of integration and racism prevention. Its aim is to promote social cohesion and equal opportunities for all residents of Lausanne, regardless of their origin or situation. It is also the primary contact point for people recently arrived in Lausanne and supports numerous community projects aimed at fostering integration. This internship position offers the opportunity for a first professional experience in this field. You will specifically follow projects related to the Racism Prevention and Community Life sectors, such as monitoring and organising events and communication campaigns (Week of Action Against Racism). You will also be involved in the development of communication materials, including the Info Point and the BLI web pages.

Duration
Internship contract for a duration of 6 months
Main Mission(s)
Gain experience working within a municipal administration, understand its functioning and its connections with other internal or external services
Collaborate in the development, implementation and monitoring of various projects in the field of immigrant integration and racism prevention
Become familiar with the Lausanne integration network
Profile
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university programme in human or political sciences, or another discipline relevant to the position
Knowledge of the Lausanne migrant community network is an asset
Organisational skills, versatility, flexibility
Proactive personality and ability to make suggestions
Good writing skills, analytical and synthesising mind
Interpersonal skills and quality of listening and communication
Motivation to work independently as well as in a team
Knowledge of English and migrant languages is an asset
