What you will achieve
- Deputy management of the kitchen during the absence of the head chef as well as leadership of the subordinate employees and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation
- Production of hot and cold dishes as well as preparation, provision and delivery of catering orders including on-site event support
- Support in menu planning as well as participation in the organisation and coordination of kitchen operations
- Responsibility for ordering, inventory and completion of administrative tasks
- Ensuring compliance with and implementation of ISO and HACCP guidelines
What you bring with you
- Completed chef apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) and at least five years of professional experience as a chef
- Leadership experience as well as experience in community catering is an advantage
- German language level C1-C2 with competent language use
- Valid driving licence category B
- Passion for the cooking profession, enjoyment of guest contact as well as a hands-on, flexible, resilient and team-oriented working style

Your place of work
In the publicly accessible staff restaurant "VIVA" in Uzwil, our host team with 20 employees spoils around 650 guests daily. The attractive and varied offer consists of a daily menu, a vegetarian menu, a front-cooking dish and a hot & cold offer. On the Bühler AG site there is also the restaurant Coffee & more with served business lunches, the Foodmakerspace and the Foodtruck Airstream. Through the in-house catering offer, it is possible to order snacks and drinks for meetings or aperitifs. Regular company events and special occasions are held.
You work from Monday to Friday according to the duty roster, with shifts possible from 5 a.m. For special events in the evening and at weekends, you are available flexibly.
