The contribution you can make
- As head of information at the Federal Chancellery, you will be responsible for leading the Communication Division, composed of various sections and around forty collaborators, and will assume strategic and operational management in terms of personnel, technical, content, organisational and financial aspects
- You will report to the Vice-Chancellor and Spokesperson of the Federal Council, supporting them in managing the Federal Council's communication in all circumstances and coordinating it with the departments
- You are responsible for the communication of the Federal Chancellery
- On behalf of the Spokesperson of the Federal Council, you will ensure, in compliance with quality standards and deadlines, the management and strategic development of the information offering for the Federal Council, the Federal Chancellery and the authorities' communication on the ch.ch website
- In this context, you will also address the opportunities and risks that new technologies pose for institutional communication
- As deputy to the Spokesperson of the Federal Council, you will represent them in their absence in all respects during Federal Council meetings or other bodies
What distinguishes you
- University degree in communication or another field relevant to the role, several years of experience in managerial roles of equivalent responsibility
- Several years of experience in institutional or corporate communication, preferably in a political context
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to speak confidently in public
- Deep understanding of the dynamics governing the interaction between politics, mass media and public opinion
- Diplomatic aptitude, high motivation and availability
- Excellent active knowledge of two official languages and English, at least passive knowledge of the third official language

Federal Chancellery – the Federal Council's staff
The Federal Chancellery is the staff of the Federal Council and assists it in preparing and conducting its meetings as well as in the subsequent related work. It manages and coordinates the Government's communication and develops its political planning. It organises events in which the Federal Council participates as a whole and assists the President of the Confederation in the exercise of their function. The Federal Chancellery also organises federal votes and elections. It ensures contact with initiative and referendum committees and verifies the formal validity of referendum and popular initiative requests. Finally, the Federal Chancellery supports and coordinates the digital transformation of the Federal Administration.
