What you can contribute
- As head of information at the Federal Chancellery, you will lead the Communications Section, which includes various services and has around forty employees. You will be responsible for its strategic and operational management in terms of personnel, specialised skills, content, organisation, and finances
- You will report to the Vice-Chancellor and Spokesperson of the Federal Council and assist them in managing the Federal Council's communication in all circumstances and coordinating it with the departments
- You are responsible for the communication of the Federal Chancellery
- On behalf of the Federal Council Spokesperson, you will ensure that the information offerings of the Federal Council, the Federal Chancellery, and other authorities are managed and developed on ch.ch in compliance with quality standards and deadlines
- In this context, you will be interested in the opportunities and risks that new technologies represent for institutional communication
- As deputy to the Federal Council Spokesperson, you may be required to fully replace them in the exercise of their various functions during Federal Council meetings or in other bodies
What makes you unique
- University degree in communication or another field relevant to the position, several years of experience in a leadership role of comparable responsibility
- Several years of experience in institutional or corporate communication, preferably in the political field
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to speak confidently in public
- Deep understanding of the dynamics at play in interactions between politics, media, and the public
- Diplomatic attitude, strong commitment, and great availability
- Very good active knowledge of two official languages and English, passive knowledge of a third official language

The Federal Chancellery – Staff of the Federal Council
The Federal Chancellery is the staff of the Federal Council and supports it in preparing, conducting, and following up on its meetings. It manages and coordinates government communication and develops its political planning. It organises events attended in person by the Federal Council and supports the President of the Confederation in the exercise of this function. The Federal Chancellery also organises federal votes and elections. It maintains contacts with initiative committees and referendum committees and determines whether popular initiatives and referendums have succeeded or not. Finally, it supports and coordinates the digital transformation of the federal administration.
