Our client is seeking a Sanitary & Medical Gas Engineer to contribute to renovation, modernisation and transformation projects of their buildings. As a technical referent in your field, you will be involved in all phases of the projects, from studies and design through to execution and on-site monitoring of the works.
Sanitary & Medical Gas Engineer
Our client is a healthcare organisation whose technical department ensures the engineering, operation and modernisation of the technical systems of its buildings. It manages architectural, operational and sustainability projects in complex and multidisciplinary environments, integrating cutting-edge technologies and high-performance infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary and detailed studies of projects (SIA phases 21 to 33) for sanitary installations and medical gas networks within healthcare infrastructures.
- Prepare technical documents, plans, schedules and budgets using CAD/BIM tools, within the framework of validation and compliance processes.
- Perform technical analyses and collaborate with architects, internal engineering teams and workshop managers to design safe, efficient and economically optimised installations.
- Manage and monitor the technical execution of projects (SIA phases 41 to 53), including planning, cost control, coordination, tendering and selection of contractors.
- Prepare execution plans and detailed design documents in compliance with quality requirements and the various project phases.
- Supervise the commissioning of installations, acceptance procedures, warranty follow-up and project closure, ensuring respect for deadlines, quality, safety requirements and regulatory standards.
- Apply construction regulations as well as internal procedures specific to healthcare infrastructures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, notably BIM integration and process optimisation.
- Work in compliance with the quality management system and keep abreast of technical developments in the field.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma as a technician in sanitary engineering or equivalent training.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a sanitary technician or designer (experience in technical drawing is an asset).
- Strong knowledge of construction standards (SIA), directives and requirements applicable to healthcare infrastructures.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential; knowledge of AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite is an advantage.
- Good project management skills, with the ability to work independently on medium-sized technical projects.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills in environments involving multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and ability to propose technical improvements and solutions promoting energy efficiency.
- Ability to work in an environment subject to high quality requirements and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Fluency in French and English is essential.
- Occasional availability outside normal hours, particularly for interventions requiring network shutdowns.
