We are looking for an External Sales / Technical Business Developer responsible for developing and retaining a portfolio of industrial clients in French-speaking Switzerland: a mix of managing existing accounts and prospecting new clients. The position is aimed at a sales profile with good technical awareness, wishing to evolve in an industrial environment where autonomy, client proximity and development are key.
Our client is a recognised international player in the distribution of technical solutions for industrial maintenance and production equipment.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Swiss Management, you are responsible for the commercial development of your sector and manage a portfolio of existing industrial clients while developing new business opportunities.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and retaining a portfolio of industrial clients.
- Actively prospecting new accounts and generating new business opportunities.
- Identifying client needs and proposing suitable technical solutions.
- Conducting regular client visits and establishing an effective planning of your commercial activity.
- Preparing commercial offers in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensuring order follow-up and coordination with various departments.
- Participating in the implementation of marketing and commercial actions.
- Analysing the market, monitoring competitor activities and identifying new growth levers.
- Contributing to the development of long-term partnerships with clients.
Candidate Profile
- Technical training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, electromechanics or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in a B2B sales role focused on development.
- French C2, German or English mandatory in addition.
- Experience in selling technical products or solutions in industry.
- Strong customer service sense and results orientation.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Good interpersonal skills and a strong interest in commercial development.
