Located 15 km north of Lausanne, Echallens is a town that asserts its role as a regional centre. Its geographical position, in the heart of the Vaud countryside, makes it a prime spot for relaxation and sociability, both through its environment and the warm welcome of its population.
Employing nearly 100 permanent and auxiliary staff, the primary mission of the municipal administration is to offer a quality welcome and service to its 6,900 citizens and numerous visitors.
Due to the departure of the incumbent, the Municipality of Echallens is seeking a:
Versatile Employee in Building Services – 90% to 100%
Administrative and Rental Buildings of the Castle and the Town
Desired profile:
- Federal VET Certificate in building technology and/or Federal VET Certificate as Operations Agent
- Practical knowledge in the building sector
- Specific training in the use of industrial cleaning products and specialised equipment in the field is an advantage
- Ease of contact
- Autonomy, initiative and organisational skills
- Manual dexterity and versatility in tasks
Mission:
The versatile employee maintains the cleanliness of municipal buildings and their surroundings, while applying the necessary safety measures. He/She maintains the technical equipment of the buildings (heating, electricity, sanitary facilities), carries out minor repair or maintenance work and ensures the proper execution of interventions carried out by external companies.
He/She works mainly independently, sometimes in a small team, in direct collaboration with the Head of Service. He/She participates in the organisation and logistics of official events and is responsible for handing over keys and conducting inspections during the rental of municipal rooms.
Regularly liaising with municipal staff and the public, he/she collaborates with various technical and administrative services as required.
Working hours: 41.5 hours per week, with possible weekend interventions.
Start date: September 2026 or by agreement
