Deputy Head of Building Services

The Municipality of Val-de-Ruz covers more than 124 square kilometres and has around 17,500 inhabitants. It is the third most populous municipality in the canton and second in area, with approximately 600 employees.

To strengthen our building services, we are advertising the position of:

Deputy Head of Service (M/F)

activity rate: 90%

The Building and Energy Service is responsible for managing the municipal estate comprising nearly 400 buildings.

As part of your role, you will be:

• responsible for tenders related to assigned projects and procedures linked to public procurement;
• in charge of preparing, compiling and reviewing reports for various bodies;
• responsible for managing land registry files;
• responsible for the execution of works and site management;
• in charge of monitoring the maintenance of the estate in collaboration with various stakeholders;
• responsible for the expertise of buildings in the financial estate;
• responsible for the planning and implementation processes of projects;
• in charge of supervising activities related to municipal property management in collaboration with the head of service;
• responsible for the financial aspects related to the service (invoices, subsidies, charge statements, budget).

Your profile:

• Federal diploma as a property manager, bachelor’s or master’s degree considered equivalent;
• holding real estate qualifications (immobase, immotechnique, etc.);
• proven experience in property management and personnel management;
• experience in the technical field of buildings and site supervision;
• knowledge of urban planning, land use planning and tenancy law;
• holding a driving licence.

Start date: Immediately or by agreement.

You have a keen sense of organisation, the ability to manage your projects and priorities. Precise, resilient under pressure and able to innovate, anticipate and adapt. Demonstrating versatility and ease working both independently and as part of a team, you have good writing skills.
