About the job
To fill a position within the Urban Cleanliness Office, the Urban Environment Service of the City of Morges is looking for a:
100% Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver
Main tasks:
- operate heavy goods vehicles, special vehicles and other utility vehicles of the Urban Cleanliness Office;
- handle onboard equipment and attachments, notably cranes and collection devices;
- carry out transport, collection and disposal of waste and materials as required;
- collaborate in maintenance and cleaning work of public and municipal areas;
- perform routine checks and maintenance of vehicles and report any malfunctions;
- drive vehicles and machinery engaged in winter service;
- participate in interventions related to special events or unforeseen situations, including outside normal hours;
- participate, according to the established schedule, in cleaning public areas, public toilets and monitoring the recycling centre, including some weekends.
We require:
- a valid category C heavy goods vehicle driving licence;
- up-to-date OACP continuing training;
- a valid category A crane operator licence;
- professional experience in a field relevant to the role, notably construction, civil engineering, waste collection or public area maintenance;
- ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- a sense of responsibility, thoroughness, reliability and a taste for meticulous work;
- strict adherence to safety rules and instructions;
- availability and flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours and on certain weekends;
- good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
- good interpersonal skills and respectful behaviour towards colleagues, partners and the public.
