Director, Strategy Implementation Lead

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Director, Strategy Implementation Leader, Portfolio & Asset Management, Immunology Therapeutic Area (IMM TA).  This role will be located in Spring House, PA, La Jolla, CA or Cambridge, MA reporting directly to the Senior Director, Portfolio Strategy & Operations.

The incumbent will play a key leadership role, navigating confidential and sensitive situations, driving multiple responsibilities simultaneously while balancing progress on long-term projects with the urgency of immediate operational demands.  



The Director, SIL P&AM will establish strong working relationships with internal and external contacts, and will be expected to assist and/or lead enterprise initiatives and special projects critical to the IMM TA.  He/She will collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, building strong and sustainable business relationships while interacting with all levels of the organization.  This role will require an understanding and ability to bring together our partners (such as HR, Finance) to deliver high quality business solutions.  



This role will lead and influence across all levels within the IMM TA to ensure that teams work towards a common goal.  He/She will be responsible for facilitation of P&AM departmental planning, acting as a liaison and partnering with leadership to drive their agenda across business, operations, people leadership and communications.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



20% of the time


·       Track and report priorities and objectives for the P&AM LT and broader team.  Track open items and due dates, work with staff to determine status and helping ensure objectives are achieved.  Monitor progress in achieving objectives and ensuring effective communication of progress as needed.


·       Prepare agenda for P&AM LT meetings, capture minutes, track and follow up on action items and prepare regular reports.


·       Help organize commitments such as P&AM presentations to TA Committees, off-sites, and other internal and external speaking engagements.


·       Coordinate requests from other senior leaders and work collaboratively with their offices on meeting deliverables.


·       Partner with Finance to help create, track and manage the department’s budget, financial reporting and headcount plan.



30% of the time


·       Create presentations on scenario analyses– synthesizing complex data, determine how best to present the information, and create executive presentations.


·       Coordinate and work with the VP, P&AM on presentations for Senior Management and various external constituents and working cross functionally and determine appropriate content, messaging, and presentation.


·       Maintain effective communications to all stakeholders, ensuring team interaction model is transparent and effective.



25% of the time


·       Establish excellent working relationships with the P&AM LT and the staff of other senior executives across the IMM TA


·       Interact with individuals across the organization at all levels, functions and locations, providing a broad understanding of the organization while building relationships through IMM TA.  Leverage relationships across the organization to influence, negotiate, and deliver results, while maintaining the utmost confidentiality.  



25% of the time


·       Lead projects on an as required basis, sometimes working on clean teams, handling confidential and sensitive information


·       Manage tasks and responsibilities associated with the planning, directing, coordinator and support of day-to-day activities relating to projects and initiatives.
