The EHL School of Practical Arts department is responsible for delivering hands-on training in key hospitality skills, such as culinary arts, service excellence, and guest relations. It ensures that students gain practical experience in real-world settings, preparing them to meet industry standards. The school focuses on developing both technical expertise and a strong service mindset, essential for successful careers in hospitality.

Reception Officer
The mission of the Reception Officer is to ensure that every visitor, caller, student, and staff member receives an excellent and professional welcome aligned with EHL values. The role requires a solid knowledge of EHL and its services, as well as outstanding communication skills to assist clients with a wide range of requests related to business, events, and housing.
What will you do?
- Welcome and assist the students, external visitors and staff.
- Reply to and transfer incoming calls from the EHL telephone central.
- Follow room reservations, check in / out , key cards and payments for guests.
- Assist in the organization in the rooms inventory of the campus and other administrative tasks.
- Sale of various small items at the Reception.
- Update process and practices at the Reception (short stays, baggage storage etc).
- Liaison between EHL departments for process and information (SPA, Events, Security, Housing , Service Center, Sport etc).
- Support internal and external customer inquiries relating to front and back office of the Reception and Housing sector.
- Record keeping and reporting to management .
- Train and support Student assistants employed at Reception.
- Actively participate in the daily administration of the department, within the team coordination.
- From time to time, provide operational support at the reception of sports facilities, including access rules, opening times, and equipment.
Who you are?
- You have a CFC or hospitality-related training.
- You have 2 years of professional experience with at least 1 year in a similar position.
- You are responsible, polite, flexible, proactive, positive, and a strong team player.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You have good IT skills and understand reservation/booking platforms.
- You have a good understanding of telephone systems.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility and ability to manage priorities effectively.
- You are aligned with our leadership principles: transparency, accountability, collaboration, care and experimentation.
- You are fluent in French and in English.
