To support our ambition, we are looking for a Category & Partnerships Manager based in Lausanne or Zurich.
About the role
As a Category & Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening our Swiss and cross-border partner ecosystem. With at least 5 years of experience in Category Management (ideally in retail, e-commerce of FMCG) on the Swiss market, you bring the seniority, commercial acumen, and negotiation expertise required to independently drive strategic growth initiatives..
You are a hands-on professional with a strong can-do mentality, thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You combine strategic thinking with operational execution and demonstrate the flexibility and soft skills required to succeed in a Scale-up scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief E-commerce Officer, your responsibilities include:
- Proactively identifying, acquiring, and closing new strategic cooperation partners (sourcing, outreach, negotiation of commercial terms and commissions, contract conclusion).
- Independently managing and strategically developing key partner relationships to ensure long-term, value-driven collaborations.
- Defining and steering the category strategy per partner segment (assortment, pricing, promotional mechanics), driving key KPIs (conversion, basket size, margin), and continuously enhancing the attractiveness of our offering.
- Leading the onboarding process of new partners, including the effective use of product information and CRM tools.
- Closely collaborating with Marketing and Product teams to ensure strong visibility and promotion of partner offers, as well as with the Commercial team on B-to-B client-related topics.
- Conducting market and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities and strategic positioning.
- Selling advertising space and special promotions to partners to generate additional revenue streams.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and administrative follow-up.
Requirements
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Category Management, ideally within retail, e-commerce, FMCG or marketplace environments; additional experience in Business Development or Product Marketing is a plus.
- Solid command of Category Management fundamentals: assortment planning, pricing strategy, sell-in/sell-out dynamics, promotional mechanics, and category performance analysis.
- Proven track record in partnership acquisition, negotiation, and revenue growth.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Highly autonomous, structured, and performance oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the emotional intelligence required to build lasting relationships internally and externally.
- Flexible, solution-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic Scale-up environment.
- Place of work: either in Lausanne (English + French needed, German welcome) or in Zurich (English + German needed, French welcome).
