Waterworks Operator

The Municipality of Estavayer is seeking, for its Drinking Water Sector, a:

The Drinking Water Sector is responsible for the management, control, and operation of the drinking water network, from the source to the consumer's tap. In the field, it monitors the installations for water catchment, treatment, pumping, and transport. The Drinking Water Sector ensures that all houses and businesses connected to the network have continuous drinking water supply (24/7), verifies that the water quality complies with legal requirements and that it does not deteriorate.

Your responsibilities:

Within a small team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the network. You will be the point of contact for water quality. You will participate in the monitoring and maintenance of the treatment plant and all facilities related to drinking water, as well as installations shared with the GRAC.

Your profile:

• Holder of a federal waterworks operator certificate (or willing to obtain one) or network operator diploma or equivalent training;
• Federal VET diploma in sanitation or equivalent (technical);
• Experience in laying cast iron pipes (water supply);
• Experience in the field of drinking water;
• Knowledge of common IT and office tools;
• Versatility with adaptability and availability for on-call duty;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Initiative;
• Team spirit and collaboration;
• Driving licence.
