As part of its development, our client, a recognised player in the watchmaking sector, is looking for a Manager for its polishing department, capable of overseeing daily operations, managing a team and ensuring a high level of quality.

Proven experience in polishing or managing a finishing workshop Ability to manage a team and organise a schedule Strong sense of quality, rigour, and good interpersonal skills Knowledge of safety rules and workshop processes
As part of its development, our client, a recognised player in the watchmaking sector, is looking for a Manager for its polishing department, capable of overseeing daily operations, managing a team and ensuring a high level of quality.
Main missions
In close collaboration with other departments, your mission will be to:✓ Coordinate and organise the activity:
- Distribute tasks to polishers according to the logistical schedule
- Monitor production (quantity, quality, behaviour)
- Participate in the development and updating of polishing processes
- Be operational at various stages: preparation, felting, satin finishing, brightening, sandblasting, washing of parts-
- Manage the opening/closing of the strong room
- Ensure the availability of tools and consumables
- Ensure routine maintenance of machines and equipment
- Ensure strict compliance with safety instructions and the wearing of PPE
- Administratively manage team absences and leave
Supervision & quality
- Provide training for new arrivals and monitor staff in post
- Implement a continuous skills development dynamic
- Alert in case of technical malfunction that cannot be resolved internally
- Control the quality of parts leaving the workshop
- Optimise resources while maintaining quality standards
Workshop management
- Monitor supplies and tool availability
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised environment
- Manage the flow of series in precious materials (during the day and at the end of the day)
- Contribute to creating a positive and collaborative working atmosphere
