Post-compulsory Training and Guidance Service (SFPO) - Neuchâtel Vocational Training Centre (CPNE)
The CPNE is the reference body for vocational training offers in the canton of Neuchâtel. We provide training and support at various levels of vocational education (initial, advanced and continuing training).
Your duties
As a member of the management team, you support the director in leading the division and are responsible for monitoring those in initial training.
In collaboration with training coordinators and class teachers, you ensure the follow-up of students and, in cases of failure, plan and conduct interviews. This also includes organising occasional activities such as annual professional knowledge assessments (BAC), visits or sessions with our partners.
You assist teachers in case of problems preventing the smooth running of lessons and seek solutions to maintain a pleasant working atmosphere. With the support of vocational training advisers, the student counsellor, legal representatives and employers, you manage special situations.
Furthermore, you are responsible for communication aimed at trainees.
You carry out your activities in accordance with the guidelines and processes set out in the integrated Quality-Environment-Safety (QES) system and also contribute to its development.
Finally, you complement your role as deputy director by taking on a teaching load of up to the equivalent of a full-time position.
Your profile
With a tertiary-level qualification (master’s or federal diploma) in building or construction or an equivalent recognised title, you also hold a pedagogical diploma from the University of Applied Sciences in Vocational Education (HEFP).
Your experience in teaching and supporting trainees is accompanied by a thorough knowledge of the Swiss education system.
Equipped with excellent organisational skills, you know how to carry out your duties rigorously, even under pressure, and work independently.
You demonstrate great interpersonal skills and can easily integrate into a management team.
Moreover, you are willing to undertake the in-service training for educational institution management (FORDIF) to enhance your skills.
You live in Switzerland in accordance with the legal requirements for public office holders.
