Head of Finance (100%) (m/f/d)

at an internationally successful Swiss SME trading and industrial company

Our client is looking for a committed and entrepreneurial-minded leader with profound financial expertise to successfully manage the entire finance division of the group.

The role:

• You are responsible for Group Accounting and Reporting, the consolidated annual financial statements according to IFRS, as well as ensuring compliance with the transfer pricing system
• You review the quality of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the entire group of our client
• You manage and coordinate the budget, forecast and planning processes and are responsible for operational liquidity planning and cash management in coordination with the CFO
• You lead and develop the finance team (3–4 employees) at the headquarters
• You are responsible for payroll for Europe as well as payroll and administrative matters for other companies of our client
• You are responsible for overarching accounting, tax and VAT matters, coordinate the financial audits and act as the contact person for auditors, tax consultants and authorities
• You support the CFO and the international companies of our client with analyses, investment and financing issues as well as management and board documents and ensure group-wide quality assurance of financial reporting
• You further develop finance processes and systems and, together with the CFO, ensure a robust finance organisation
• You represent the CFO in operational finance matters and in the ongoing daily finance business

Your profile:

• Completed studies (FH/University) in finance, accounting, business administration or a comparable higher professional qualification
• Several years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally in an internationally active company
• Solid 3-4 years of leadership experience
• Profound knowledge of IFRS, Swiss GAAP FER and Swiss Code of Obligations as well as experience with consolidation and group financial statements
• Experience with international payroll and expat matters is an advantage
• Good knowledge of ERP, consolidation and reporting systems as well as very good Excel skills
• Experience in accounting and in the conversion of accounting and financial reporting software is an advantage
• Solid industry or production background (KPIs, analyses, etc.) as well as the ability to understand industrial production processes are a plus
• Excellent oral and written German language skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form. Good French skills are an advantage
• Willingness to undertake international business trips 2–3 times a year
