Supplier Quality Engineer
Mission
Ensure the quality and compliance of Symbios products by guaranteeing that suppliers comply with GMP as well as current normative and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, MDR 2017/745), and that the manufacturing processes of semi-finished products and blanks delivered to Symbios are controlled and managed. Thus contribute to the overall performance of Symbios and, ultimately, to improving patients’ quality of life through safe and compliant products.
Responsibilities
- Establish, enforce and maintain Quality Agreements with Symbios suppliers, in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 13485:2016
- Ensure the transfer of Symbios products/processes to suppliers. Verify project feasibility, the relevance of plans and specifications, support the supplier’s industrialisation and quality control strategy to ensure timing/deadlines and product quality.
- Analyse supplier non-conformities and follow up on suppliers’ corrective actions until their effectiveness is proven.
- Align measurement and control methods between the supplier and Symbios. Determine sampling sizes or SPC control to ensure the quality of Symbios products manufactured by suppliers.
- Plan and conduct supplier audits. Evaluate suppliers, assist in decision-making and in choosing sourcing strategies.
- Quality control by exploiting data analysis. Maximise quality control performed by suppliers and reduce internal costs at Symbios.
- Use and become an expert in the company’s IT tools ERP and MES.
Profile sought
- HES engineering degree (or equivalent) in mechanical or microtechnology engineering
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in an engineering role in the Medtech industry or a highly regulated industry.
- Experience in interacting with suppliers
- Good command of Microsoft Office, Power BI and ease in learning new software
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written; German would be a plus
- Dynamic and pragmatic personality, responsible, results-oriented and able to adapt flexibly.
- Good analytical skills and writing ability, comfortable in an environment structured by a quality system.
- Autonomous, confident in judgement, with a real ability to organise and complete projects.
- Good general mechanical and scientific knowledge.
