Municipal Secretary 100% Permanent Contract (M/F/D)

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and supervise the entire municipal administration and its staff
• Support the executive authorities in the preparation, monitoring and implementation of strategic decisions
• Prepare the meetings of the Municipal Council, attend the meetings and draft the minutes
• Ensure the legal compliance of decisions, regulations, agreements and administrative procedures
• Participate in budget preparation, financial monitoring and planning of municipal investments
• Maintain relations with cantonal authorities, institutional partners and the population
• Organise and supervise votes and elections at municipal, cantonal and federal levels

Profile

• Higher education in public administration, law, economics or equivalent field
• Proven experience within a Swiss public administration
• Very good knowledge of the functioning of public bodies, the Swiss legal framework and the social and economic fabric of the region
• Fluency in French, another language is an asset
• Excellent writing, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Cross-functional project management, sense of organisation and responsibility
• Proficiency in common IT tools and modern administrative processes
