Under the supervision of the Executive Director:
- Liaise with the 100+ members of the EPFL energy research community;
- Screen, monitor, and promote funding and collaboration opportunities in energy;
- Liaise with, attract and develop industrial partnership opportunities in energy;
- Promote energy research and innovation results within and outside of EPFL;
- Support the development of project consortia, partnerships and proposals of the EPFL energy research community;
- Represent CEN at public events and conferences;
- Contribute to tasks of the Energy Center's and EPFL's missions in education, research and innovation (in particular, compile the EPFL inputs to the energy statistics for the Swiss Federal Office of Energy).
- Phd Degree in a field relevant to energy
- Professional experience in a business or company in/relevant to the energy sector
- Broad systemic knowledge of the energy sector including technologies, players, and constraints
- Broad knowledge of the Swiss industrial landscape
- Strong understanding of the competitive research environment
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in project management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Adaptable, service-oriented, reliable, with a hands-on approach to develop effective partnerships and collaborations
Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proactive and independent, manage timelines and projects efficiently. Analytical and strategic thinking are essential for identifying opportunities and developing plans. Effective networking, excellent writing skills, cultural awareness, and understanding the Swiss academic landscape are crucial. Strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and leadership qualities are required to guide projects to successful completion.
